Beautification Projects
EMDRF has formed a partnership with The Center for Truth and Healing to reestablish "Clean the Block", its' environmental protection program. Starting in May 2024, volunteers will be working on making improvements and cleaning up several areas along East Memorial Drive that have become dilapidated. Sponsors and volunteers are needed to support our efforts. If you know of an area that needs revitalization, let us know.

Since our launch, EMDRF has hosted a couple of community meet and greets to help bring local business owners and residents together, however, we are thrilled to be the host of a new annual event, "DeKalb County's Good Neighbors Day Out on East Memorial Drive" to be held each year in conjunction with National Good Neighbors Day on September 28th. This event aims to unite and connect all of DeKalb County.
Advocacy
EMDRF is working to position itself as a community hub for residents and local business owners to access resources such as entrepreneur education, small grants, and wrap-around support. As part of this initiative, we have recently rehabbed our office space to create a tech lab, started partnering with local agencies, and are seeking sponsors to help contribute to our cause.
EMDRF is a community organization with a commitment to help revitalize East Memorial Drive and make it a safe, sustainable, and thriving place to live, work, and visit. In order to do this, we must all work together. This is why we work closely with members of our local, regional, and state governments to advocate for the residents and businesses in our corridor.
